
Urology & Robotic Surgery — World Leader in Pudendal Nerve Surgery
After medical (1983–1989) and Urology residency (1990–1996) training at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, he worked at the Istanbul German Hospital and moved to Akdeniz University (Antalya) in 1999 for his academic career.
He received endourology training at Harvard University “Massachusetts General Hospital” Kidney Stone Center under Prof. Dr. Stephen Dretler (1999). He trained as a clinical fellow in laparoscopic surgery for prostate, bladder, testicular and kidney cancers at Heidelberg University “Heilbronn Hospital” under Prof. Dr. Jens Rassweiler (2004).
He has experience in over 1500 laparoscopic surgeries in Turkey. With over 400 laparoscopic and, as of 2010, over 500 robotic radical prostatectomies, he is one of the pioneering surgeons combining both techniques. He has performed da Vinci robotic surgery since 2010.
